Genital Child Protection Program (JSSY)
In order to redress the problem of death due to
non-availability of health facilities to the newborns, Ministry of Health and
Family Welfare (Janpada Child Protection Program) started on June 1, 2011 to
provide better health facilities to pregnant women and patients newborns. Was
there. All states and Union Territories have started implementation of the
scheme. Under this scheme, emphasis is on providing free services. Pregnant
women and the sick newborns have been kept free from the expenses.
Under this scheme, free nutrition is provided to pregnant
women for free medicines and free food, free treatment, free blood, if
necessary, in three days for normal reproduction and seven days in case of
C-section. In this, free traffic facility is provided from the home to the
center and for return. This type of facility is given to all sick newborns.
Under this program, more than one crore pregnant women and newborn infants have
benefitted from the scheme every year in rural and urban areas.
Facilities available to the receptions in this program
1. Free institutional delivery - Janani Suraksha Yojana has
been launched to ensure that every pregnant woman and health care services are
provided to the unborn babies without any cost and expenditure for a month.
2. Free Cesarean Operation - Free Breeding Facilities
(including Caesarean Operations) are provided at Government Health Centers
under the Pregnant Child Protection Program, if required.
3. Free medicines and essential ingredients - Free medicines
are given to pregnant women, including supplement like iron folic acid.
4. Free checking facilities - In addition to this, pregnancy
women are required to check blood, pee check, ultra-sonography, etc. Essentials
and desired check-ups are also provided free of cost.
5. Free meals - Three days of normal delivery in service
centers and free nutrition for seven days in case of Caesarean delivery. All
medicines for the newborn and 30 days of birth are provided free of cost.
6. Free Blood Facility - Free blood is also required if
required. Under the Mother Child Protection Program, OPD fees and admission
charges are kept free from other types of expenses.
7. Free Vehicle Facility - Free access to the facility for
visiting and coming from home to the center.
Newborn baby receives 30 days of birth
Breeding in the center under this program protects the
mother as well as the mother. Which are as follows-

4. Free Blood Facility - Free check-up of mothers as well as
mothers is done and blood is provided free of cost if necessary.
5. Free Referrals Facilities / Essential Transport Services
6. Expenses (User Charges), costs have to be reduced to
patients on newborns.
Characteristics of Janani Babushura Yojna
Under the scheme, pregnant women, pregnant women and
newborns will be benefitted. All will be provided free health services in
government medical institutions. In which institutional delivery, caesarean
operations, medicines and other materials, lab tests, food, blood and referral
transport will be completely free of charge. The main objective of the program
is to reduce the mortality rate and infant mortality rate. Under the scheme,
all pregnant women will be provided free delivery of all expenditure on
childbirth, childbirth, postpartum and postpartum medicines and other
conjugates for delivery in state medical institutions. The investigation will
also be free. Three days after institutional delivery and seven days of free
meals will be provided for Caesarean operation.

6. This program has reduced maternal mortality rate (MMR)
and infant mortality to a large extent, and further improvement is needed.
7. After the Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) introduced in the
year 2005, there has been a significant increase in institutional infant birth.
