Sambhar Lake
This lake is located in Sambar in the district of Jaipur, it
is India's second largest (after Chilka) salt water lake. This is the largest
salt water lake in the interior water sector in the country. 8.7 percent of
India's total salt production is produced here. Its length It is about 32 km
east to west. And the width is 3 to 12 km. Its catchment area is 500 sq km.
This is the best kind of salt. This lake forms the boundaries of three
districts Jaipur, Ajmer and Nagaur.
